• Check your home's circuit breaker to ensure the washing machine breaker is in the ON position; if tripped, flip it OFF then back ON
• Verify both the hot and cold water supply valves behind your washing machine are fully open by turning them counterclockwise until they stop
• Inspect the drain hose at the back of the machine for kinks, twists, or blockages; straighten the hose if bent and clear any visible debris
• Remove excess laundry from the drum if the machine appears overloaded; Miele USA models typically require leaving space equal to one fist above the load
• Ensure the washing machine door is completely closed and you hear an audible click indicating the door latch is fully engaged
• Press the power button to turn off the machine, then switch off the circuit breaker for exactly 60 seconds, then switch the breaker back ON and power the machine back on to perform a complete system reset
• Allow 5 minutes after power restoration for the control board to fully reboot before attempting to start a new cycle
• If the error code reappears after these steps, discontinue use and contact a certified Miele service technician as internal component replacement will likely be required
