• Check your home's circuit breaker panel and ensure the 240V breaker serving the dryer is in the ON position; if tripped, switch it OFF then back ON
• Remove and thoroughly clean the lint trap, checking for excessive lint buildup that could restrict airflow
• Inspect the external dryer vent hood outside your home to ensure it opens freely and is not blocked by lint, debris, or bird nests
• Check the exhaust duct pathway from dryer to exterior wall for any kinks, crushing, or blockages that could impede airflow
• Empty the dryer completely and avoid overloading by filling drum only three-quarters full on future loads
• Ensure the dryer door closes completely and latches firmly; listen for the audible click indicating proper latch engagement
• Perform a hard reset by switching OFF the circuit breaker serving the dryer for 60 seconds, then switch it back ON to allow the control board to reinitialize
• Verify that the dryer is not in a confined space with poor ventilation, as restricted surrounding air can affect heating performance
• After completing these checks, run a test cycle on AIR DRY mode to see if the dryer responds without attempting to heat
