• Verify the dryer is receiving proper 240V power by checking that both circuit breaker switches are in the ON position; reset any tripped breakers by switching OFF then back ON
• Unplug the dryer or turn off the dedicated circuit breaker for 60 seconds, then restore power to perform a complete system reset
• Remove and thoroughly clean the lint filter after each load and inspect for damage or gaps that allow lint bypass
• Check the external dryer vent hood for blockages, lint buildup, or bird nests; ensure the vent flap opens freely
• Inspect the dryer vent duct from the back of the unit to the wall outlet for kinks, crushing, or lint accumulation; replace flexible vent ducting if damaged
• Ensure the dryer is not overloaded—use manufacturer-recommended load sizes to allow proper airflow and heat distribution
• Confirm the dryer door closes completely and latches securely with an audible click
• Clean the dryer's exterior vents and intake areas with a vacuum to ensure unrestricted airflow
• Check that the room temperature is above 45°F (7°C) as Miele dryers require adequate ambient temperature
• Verify no lint has accumulated around or inside the drum seal area by visually inspecting the door opening
