Possible Causes

• Water tank cap or sealing gasket is missing or damaged
• Mineral deposits and scale buildup inside water lines (common in hard water areas across USA)

• 120V power supply fluctuation affecting pump operation
• Internal pump failure preventing water circulation

Safe Checks You Can Do

• Verify the machine is plugged into a working 120V outlet and power indicator light is on
• Power off the coffee system completely and wait 60 seconds before powering back on
• Remove and inspect the water tank - ensure it is filled with fresh water to the maximum line
• Check that the water tank is properly seated and locked into position on the machine
• Examine the water tank cap and rubber sealing gasket for cracks or damage; replace if needed
• Inspect the water inlet line at the back of the machine for kinks, pinches, or disconnection
• Remove the brew unit according to your user manual and rinse it thoroughly under running water
• Check the brew unit exit holes for blockages caused by dried coffee grounds or mineral buildup
• Empty and clean the drip tray and grid, checking for debris that might obstruct water flow
• Open the bean hopper and verify no beans are jammed or blocking the bean chute
• Perform a full descaling cycle using Miele's approved descaling solution to remove mineral deposits
• Run water-only cycles (without beans) to flush the system after descaling
• Check that all external connections are secure and properly assembled
