• Verify the machine is plugged into a working 120V outlet and power switch is in the ON position
• Remove and refill the water tank with fresh filtered water to the maximum fill line
• Ensure the water tank is properly aligned and firmly seated in the machine base until it clicks
• Remove and inspect the water tank for any cracks, leaks, or damage
• Empty and rinse the drip tray to ensure it is properly reinstalled
• Access and remove the brew unit according to your model's manual and rinse it thoroughly under running water
• Check the bean container for blockages or stuck coffee beans, and ensure beans flow freely
• Run the descaling program using Miele descaling solution or white vinegar solution to remove mineral deposits
• Power off the machine completely, wait 60 seconds, then power it back on to reset the system
• Check all visible water connection points for leaks or loose fittings
• Run a test cycle with water only (no coffee) to confirm normal operation
