• Power down the machine completely and unplug from the 120V outlet, then wait 60 seconds before plugging back in and powering on to reset the system
• Check that the water tank is filled with fresh, filtered water and firmly seated in its designated position
• Inspect the water inlet hose at the back of the machine for kinks, cracks, or disconnections; straighten any kinked hoses
• Remove and rinse the water tank thoroughly, then refill with fresh filtered water to ensure no debris is present
• Open the brew unit by pressing the release button and visually inspect for stuck coffee grounds, mineral deposits, or foreign objects; gently rinse the brew unit under lukewarm running water
• Remove and clean the drip tray completely, checking for blockages in the drain area
• Check the bean container for any blockages, clumped beans, or debris that may affect the grinding mechanism
• Run a descaling cycle using a Miele-approved descaling solution (following package instructions) to clear mineral buildup if the machine has not been descaled in 3+ months
• Verify the power outlet is functioning properly by plugging in another appliance to confirm 120V power delivery
• Ensure the water tank is not cracked and that all connections between the tank and machine are secure and free of gaps
