• Ensure the machine is plugged into a working 120V outlet and the outlet switch is turned on; test the outlet with another appliance to confirm it functions
• Turn off the coffee system completely and unplug it from the wall outlet for 60 seconds, then plug it back in and power on to reset the system
• Remove and inspect the water tank for proper filling; ensure it contains fresh, cold water and is fully seated back into the machine with a secure click
• Remove the brewing unit according to your user manual and visually inspect for water droplets or moisture around electrical connections; allow to air dry if damp
• Empty and rinse the drip tray and grounds container to ensure no blockages or debris are interfering with sensor detection
• Check the bean container for clogs or stuck beans that may be preventing proper grinding and affecting machine operation
• Run a complete descaling cycle using Miele-approved descaling solution to remove mineral deposits that could interfere with sensors and water flow
• Verify that all removable components (water tank, drip tray, grounds container, brewing unit) are properly inserted and locked into place
• Allow the machine to cool completely if it was recently used, then attempt operation again
